Well, the time is here ladies and gentleman, Delta Rising patching begins tomorrow, and after the patch we will be in the world of Delta Rising.

Please be advised that the patch times for Delta Rising are between 1300 – 1700 Hours UTC time on October 14th (UTC time is basically GMT time, the timezone London is in).

Hello all 101st Fleet members.

We have confirmation; Season 9 releases on Tuesday 22nd April 2014.

I was honesty surprised by this release date; as I considered that Cryptic wouldn’t release a Major season right after the Easter long weekend; guess I was wrong :). Because of this; I am pushing back the “State of the Fleet” Blog from Saturday 19th April 2014; to Thursday 24th April; to capture the new season details as they go “LIVE” on star trek online.

Also; Cryptic have released a video with what has occurred so far in our universe; if you havent completed any of the recent Featured Episodes please do not watch as it contains spoilers.

We know another featured episode is coming in Season 9; and that there will be another featured episode after that. I shall some serious story line is headed our way; make sure you and your ship are ready for what I think will be a extremely good period for story missions.

Big News people; Season 9 Dev Blog has shown us that Cryptic are changing the reputation system. When Season 9 is released we will have a limit to how many Space/Ground and active passives we can slot.

Dev Blog #5

I am for one think this is a good idea. We all knew that if the reputation system kept going the amount of passives we would have would get silly. This also means we might see a greater variety of ship builds in the future 🙂

I knew USS Zuikaku was gonna need a major overhaul with this season; and this dev blog more than confirms it 🙂 I say my ship will be in the shipyard for some time after Season 9 gets released.

As usual; remember our website forums are there if you want to post your ship build. I would recommend that if you are concerned you post your ship build onto our forums when Season 9 gets released and I will try to make recommendations on what passives to choose. Remember that if you do this please tell me what you want your ship to do (its major thing; eg damage first; tanking second) that sort of thing.

Also remember I am always around to help or answer questions; so feel free to ask. Have a wonderful day everyone and I will see you in game 🙂

“The Avenger Class Battle Cruiser’s design aims to provide a durable warship that is more maneuverable than Starfleet’s existing cruisers, and can carry a devastating amount of firepower. However, it does sacrifice a measure of hull strength for this extra maneuverability. There is nothing subtle about this starship class. The Avenger’s aggressive silhouette and available firepower makes it a formidable and intimidating presence in any battle.

The Avenger’s size is much closer to a Klingon Battle Cruiser than a standard Starfleet Cruiser. This is largely due to the fact that the starship was designed by the Starfleet Engineering Corps to compete with the smaller, more agile vessels Starfleet is facing in battle. The Avenger class is also the first cruiser in Starfleet to be equipped with an Advanced Cruiser Communications Array.

The Variable Auto-Targeting Armament is a very versatile weapon designed specifically for the Avenger Battle Cruiser. This overwhelming weapon fires a pair of Auto-Targeting Armament Projectiles that travel toward your designated target. Every few seconds, these projectiles will fire weapons (either torpedoes or a tachyon beam) at a random foe within 10 km. This highly versatile weapon system will function differently depending upon which Cruiser Command you currently active (it’s not influenced by other active commands you may be in range of), and can also be equipped on the Fleet version if you own it. It has a cooldown of 2 minutes.
V.A.T.A. Cruiser Command Influence – Shield Frequency Modulation
While the Shield Frequency Modulation cruiser command is active, the V.A.T.A. will fire a pair Tachyon Armament Projectiles. These projectiles fire Tachyon beams at a nearby target every second that damage the target’s shield facings. Upon impact, the Tachyon Armament Projectiles will detonate, dealing high kinetic damage and high shield damage in a 1.5 km radius. Foes affected by the blast will also have their shield hardness reduced for a short time.
V.A.T.A. Cruiser Command Influence – Strategic Maneuvering
While the Strategic Maneuvering cruiser command is active, the V.A.T.A. will fire a pair of Chroniton Armament Projectiles. These projectiles launch Micro Chroniton Torpedoes at a nearby target every second that deal minor kinetic damage and have a chance to reduce the target’s movement speed and turn rate. Upon impact, the Chroniton Armament Projectiles will detonate, dealing high kinetic damage. Foes affected by the explosion will also have their speed and turn rate reduced for a short time.
V.A.T.A. Cruiser Command Influence – Weapon System Efficiency (or Default if no command is active)
While the Weapon System Efficiency cruiser command is active, or no cruiser commands are active, the V.A.T.A. will fire a pair of Quantum Armament Projectiles. These projectiles launch Micro Quantum Torpedoes at a nearby target every second. Upon impact, the Quantum Armament Projectiles will detonate, dealing very high kinetic damage. The Quantum Armament Projectiles and its Micro Torpedoes lack any secondary effects, but deal significantly more damage.

General:

Fleet Leaders that are being promoted/ demoted will now have timers on their Fleet Rank in the Roster tab that displays the remaining time of their provisional status.
The timer will appear in a tooltip when placing the mouse over their Fleet Rank.
Resolved an issue where a crash would occasionally occur while using the tailor.

Foundry:

Resolved an issue in UGC with long map loading times after editing your map and trying to test it.

Content:

Hive Onslaught (Space STF)
Increased the time it takes for vessels to enter combat after the initial cutscene.
Captains are no longer targeted by the Lance Weapons from the Unimatrix vessels when:
They are affected by Under the Guns.
They are further than 20k away from the vessels.
They are using Full Impulse.
They are cloaked.
Into the Hive (Ground STF)
The door to the Queen’s chamber opens once the queen is dead to give respawned players access to their loot.
The floor hazard will no longer kill players during cutscenes.

Costumes:

Klingons and Klingon-allied Romulans now have access to purchase the Senate Robes from their Embassy.
Only available once your fleet has unlocked the uniform.

Systems:

Romulan Drone Ships
These no longer Replace when the hangar is activated while your wing is already supporting the max number of hangar craft.

Audio:

All bolt and beam Polaron weapons now use unique sound effects.
Increased the volume of the sound effects for the separation and joining of the Vulcan ship D’kyr.

Awesome update this week bringing very nice changes to the game; this update could safely be named the “Carrier Update”!!!

At last we carrier captains got a nice way to see how many Pets we have flying out there and what are they doing.

Also pets got a nice  new ranking system while fighting and a new feature to replace only lost pets (warning doesnt work on certain carriers yet e.g. Stalker Stealth Fighters and Jem Hadar ships)

Bad news for you galaxy runners as Tour got a new 4-hour cooldown (Will I know now you are sad 🙁 )
