Hi everyone
As it is the 101st Fleet's second birthday on 30th May 2014, I thought I would start a topic where people tell their own stories of the fleet, their own experiences and/or funny stories that have happened to them in the 2 years this fleet has been going.
Piotiok
I remember this one time, the fleet was only about 2 months old, and Fleet Admiral Piotriok decided to do a round of promotions on Earth Space dock (the old one). He promoted each of the selected group in turn (myself and will where there, we were only lietunants at the time.) After we had done all of our promotions, he lined us up at the area where you could have a ceremony for getting each rank in star trek online's character game, and tried to get us to "emote" a salute all at the same time (there were 5 of us present), Needless to say we couldn't help ourselves bursting out laughing as we never quite got it right. Poor Admiral Piotriok did see the humour in it, but was also shaking his head at the same time most likely wondering what type of fleet he had helped create, or what he had started 🙂
Gunfighter Alley
A recent one, Captain Kayilee was in command of a defiant class ship called USS Gunfighter alley. Alot of times Captain Kayilee would join borg STF runs or other fleet runs in all sorts of missions. Unfortunately the USS Gunfighter seemed to have the really bad luck, despite numerous attempts by the team to keep the ship alive, to get one shotted or blown out of space quickly in whatever type of match was done. The USS Gunfighter was a extremely well built ship and captained by Kayilee extremely well, but just seemed to have the worse luck possible.
Myself, joked that the 101st Fleet engineers would have now named a shipyard docked after captain kayilee's ship called "Gunfighter alley". I kept saying this now and again as a joke myself and captain Kayilee would share for good sense humour. However, sort of a result of myself and others the legend has now stuck and alot of new captains joining the 101st fleet have asked "what is gunfighter alley". So here is to you Captain Kayilee, and one of the legends of the 101st Fleet you sort of helped start 🙂
There are many other stories that I will try and type up when possible and when I remember them, but I encourage everyone to type their own stories of their time in the fleet, we would love to hear your experiences.
